Passmore's Picks: Female Composers You Should Know!

March is Women’s History Month, and there are A LOT of female composers out there. Many have been lost to history—and its our job as musicians to find them—while some of the contemporary ones are beginning to enjoy some degree of regularity on concert programs. I’ve compiled a YouTube playlist of some prominent female composers whose music you should definitely know. It’s by no means comprehensive, but it should at least give you a good idea of what you might have been missing all these years. Feel free to chime in with your own favorites, too!
